Our story

Hello! My name is Olivia and I started Olivia’s Sitters because I know from first hand experience what fantastic sitting looks like (and how difficult it is to find it!).

For years, I worked as a babysitter in Buckinghamshire where I grew up. I also had the privilege of nannying during the pandemic, seeing the profound impact that fantastic sitting can have on children. Understanding what makes each individual child tick was key to this success. During the lockdown, they struggled with social isolation and being apart from their friends, which was understandably tricky to navigate for them emotionally. However, through sincere care, understanding and supportive communication, I reengaged them. Seeing their faces light up as we did activities together was incredibly fulfilling.

My goal through Olivia’s Sitters is to provide families with sitters who genuinely care, communicate clearly and share their values.

When I moved to Fulham, I realised how many fantastic families there are who need childcare. So, here we have Olivia’s sitters! A boutique service built on the following principles: kindness, trust, community, curiosity and integrity.

How we are different

Many agencies in London are impersonal and it is rare you will come across the same sitter twice. Every sitter on my team has been personally vetted. We are not a platform of strangers, we’re a tight-knit team of caring individuals.

All of our sitters have a knowledge of Fulham, are trained in paediatric first aid and have a DBS check. They are also selected based on their characters: patience, creativity and a genuine joy for working with children.

Our prices are below the London market rate, meaning childcare doesn't break the bank. Quality childcare without the London price tag!

We’re hyperlocal and boutique

We’re not trying to operate across London. We are rooted here in Fulham, meaning our sitters know the area, families get great consistency in the service and we can truly be personal. I am on hand to ensure all bookings run smoothly and I gather feedback at the end of each sitting, to ensure we continue to provide a stellar service.
